continued: St. Patrick's indoor plant project

The project has taught students about air quality, how to care for vegetation, and that their ideas are valued and can make a difference. The school has an older heating/air exchange system so the impact of this project was great.

This initiative has also helped students and staff develop an appreciation for the natural world and the importance of stewardship.

The plants chosen are ones that need little care and water. There is a water monitor in each pot to indicate to students who care for the plants when they need to be watered.

Overall, students take great pride when it is their turn to care for the classroom plants.
