Upcoming Event: Eco Youth Summit

The Huntsville High School Eco Tribes club is hosting an Eco Youth Summit on Thursday May 21, 2009.

This event is designed to educate our youth and community members about environmental issues and initiatives in the community and beyond.

The summit will also create a forum for dialogue on important issues through workshops, a cutting edge environmental film and through engaging and informed keynote speakers.

This event will be a stepping stone for many relevant curricular based lessons on the environment and has the potential to empower our youth into positive action.

The Eco Youth Summit is open to Gr.7/8 students from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and to the General Public from 6:30 pm – 9:00 p.m.  The format is as follows:

11:30 -  TOUR OF EXHIBITS
12:00 – LITTERLESS LUNCH
12:30 – ENVIRONMENTAL FILM

2:00  - CLOSURE
