EcoSchools Board Reps discuss certification

EcoSchools Board Reps attend Certification Seminar
EcoSchools board representatives from across the province came to the Ontario EcoSchools office in January to learn how to support their schools throughout the certification process.

The board reps went through a certification application vetting exercise and heard case studies on EcoSchools from board-level staff from Niagara Catholic and York Region.

Facilitated networking gave board reps a chance to ask/answer questions about implementing EcoSchools at the board and school levels and share plans for strategies to support certification.

Board representatives also met our newest staff member, Elanor Waslander. Elanor, a certified I/S teacher, is the Ontario EcoSchools Assistant Program Coordinator and she brings considerable experience with environmental education at many levels to Ontario EcoSchools. Welcome Elanor!
